We start each one of our clients off with an informative in-person consultation. This meeting gives you and your provider a chance to get to know each other as they explain the ins and outs of what you can expect both during and after your treatment session.

Upon thoroughly cleaning the skin, your provider will gently apply a handheld device across your treatment area. Microneedling involves numerous tiny needles entering the skin, with each point creating a small channel that the body “reads” as a wound. This prompts a healing response, which includes renewed collagen production to repair the skin. The process also improves the texture of the skin surrounding each small channel. Depending on your specific needs, microneedling treatments typically last approximately 60 minutes.

Are microneedling treatments painful?
As a surface treatment, microneedling treatments produce minimal side effects. However, you may experience mild tenderness, redness, and swelling around your treatment area(s). These side effects typically resolve within a few hours after your procedure.
The results of microneedling treatments are not permanent, as our skin cells typically regenerate every 30 days. For optimal results, we recommend scheduling follow-up treatments every six to eight months after you reach your target skin goals.
Most of our clients experience noticeable results immediately following their first series of microneedling treatments. However, we recommend a series of three to five treatments, spaced four weeks apart, to experience optimal results. Once you achieve your target results, we recommend maintenance treatments every six to eight weeks.
Microneedling treatments work on the surface layers of the skin, and most of our clients report no pain at all. However, you may experience mild tenderness, redness, and swelling for a few hours after your procedure. Your provider can apply a topical numbing cream before your treatment to ensure your maximum comfort.
