Do JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® injections hurt?
Dermal filler injections are a mostly painless, non-invasive procedure. However, some of our clients experience a minor, tolerable sting during their injection. Your provider can apply a topical anesthetic before your treatment to ensure your comfort during your procedure.
Recovery after your JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC procedure is minimal, which allows you to return to your normal daily activities immediately following your injections. Some clients experience mild side effects, including redness, tenderness, or swelling immediately following their procedure. These minor side effects can last between 1 to 2 weeks, and heal naturally on their own.
As a quick in-client procedure, you can pop in during your lunch hour for your JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC injections. Following your treatment(s), we recommend you limit your sun exposure and avoid extreme exercise for 24 hours. Otherwise you’re ready to return to your normal daily activities immediately following injections.
While the results are temporary, they can last up to a year. Results vary based on the treatment area(s), your age, and skin type.
Dermal fillers are nearly painless. In particular, VOLBELLA® XC injections are specifically formulated with a small amount of lidocaine to reduce pain and maximize comfort during your procedure. You can also ask a member of our amazing team about arriving early for your appointment to receive additional pain relief options, to include a numbing cream or an ice pack.
