Rejuvenate and refresh your skin with RF microneedling treatments.

Genius RF Microneedling is an energy-based volumizing treatment that combines the benefits of microneedling with radiofrequency energy to temporarily eliminate wrinkles and enhance skin texture and firmness.

Using this innovative medical device with a series of very small needles, RF microneedling is designed to stimulate the body's natural collagen production. This increased collagen helps to improve your skin’s tone, texture, and overall appearance.

What to expect during your visit?

Consultation

Similar to other medical procedures, your provider will take time before your session to discuss your problem areas and your medical history, to ensure RF Microneedling treatments are the right option for you. Your provider may also take photos of the area(s) receiving treatment. These photos will be used to show your before and after transformation!

Treatment

Upon thoroughly cleaning the skin, your provider will gently apply a handheld device across your treatment area. Microneedling involves numerous tiny needles entering the skin, with each point creating a small channel that the body “reads” as a wound. When in the skin, Genius RF’s tiny needles deliver radiofrequency energy into the tissue. This coagulates the existing collagen for a smoother, more uniform look on the surface. It also encourages collagen production for skin tightening.

Post-Treatment

Requiring little to zero downtime, most RF microneedling treatments are virtually painless and last approximately 60 minutes. After your treatment, you can resume your normal daily activities right away! However, we recommend avoiding prolonged exposure to the sun for 1 - 2 weeks after your treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions

RF microneedling leverages Lutronic Genius technology to encourage your skin to produce more collagen – combining the benefits of both microneedling and radiofrequency energy for maximized results. As a standalone service, basic microneedling uses several tiny needles to create tiny punctures in the skin’s surface, causing micro-trauma. These tiny pinpricks also create micro-channels, which trigger the body’s natural healing process and subsequent collagen production, without damaging the surrounding dermal tissue.

RF microneedling uses a sophisticated handpiece which analyzes the skin as it passes over the treatment area(s). This innovative feature allows the needles to change penetration depth to account for various skin characteristics (such as roughness or thickness). As this happens, tiny RF needles deliver radiofrequency energy into the treatment tissue. This combined process stimulates the existing collagen to create a smoother, refreshed look. Within a day or two after your treatment, you’ll experience enhanced skin elasticity and texture, reduced fine lines and wrinkles, and an improvement in the overall appearance of your skin.

By stimulating the natural healing mechanisms of your skin, RF microneedling works to diminish the fine lines and minor scars. Best of all, this non-invasive procedure stimulates collagen and elastin to provide you with a firmer, revitalized complexion.

Common benefits to RF microneedling include:

  • Diminished signs of aging
  • Reduce wrinkles and fine lines
  • Smooth minor acne scars
  • Reduce sun damage
  • Reduced pore size
  • Hydrates and enhances treatment area(s)
  • Minimal downtime

Compared to regular microneedling, RF microneedling reaches deeper layers of the skin without damaging the top layers of skin. The innovative RF energy is delivered past the tip of each needle into the deep layers of the skin to stimulate collagen production and tighten the skin!

As a surface treatment, RF microneedling treatments produce minimal side effects. However, you may experience mild tenderness, redness, and swelling around your treatment area(s). These side effects typically resolve within a few hours after your procedure.

The results of microneedling treatments are not permanent, as our skin cells typically regenerate every 30 days. For optimal results, we recommend scheduling follow-up treatments every 6 to 8 weeks after you reach your target skin goals.

Most of our patients experience noticeable results immediately following their first series of microneedling treatments. However, we recommend a series of 3-5 treatments, spaced 4 weeks apart, to experience optimal results. Once you achieve your target results, we recommend maintenance treatments every 6 to 8 weeks.

RF Microneedling treatments work on the surface layers of the skin, and most of our patients report no pain at all. However, you may experience mild tenderness, redness, and swelling for a few hours after your procedure. Your provider can apply a topical numbing cream before your treatment to ensure your maximum comfort.
